Circle of Iron

Discipline

Discipline, Strength, Honor

Like any worthwhile endeavor, martial arts requires discipline, commitment, and a geniune passion for learning and practicing.  Discipline, inner strength, perseverance, and  commitment are  rare qualities that most people do not have however, if you have the passion and desire, these qualities can be developed through the martial arts and will carry over into your daily life.
Most of us are simply lazy and make excuses for not training.  This  physical laziness causes disease, drains energy levels, and causes pre-mature aging.
Everyone has the potential to be a martial artist, but most people do not have the drive or discipline necessary to achieve a high skill level.  Make no mistake, learning martial arts takes hours of hard work, dedication, sweat, and a bit of pain.
Practicing a few knife disarms or boxing drills once or twice a month will not prepare you for a real self-defense situation, and martial arts is about much more than self-defense and fighting anyway.
Circle of Iron was established so that people who share the same love and passion for martial arts and a true desire to learn and grow in skill could practice together, share knowledge and techniques, gain true friends, and work together towards a common goal of becoming a complete martial artist and hopefully build character in the process.

We welcome all, but we ask that you respect the art, your fellow students, and instructors by making a commitment to learn, practice, and show up regularly for training.  If you are too busy in your life to be able to come to training, we ask that you consider this before wasting our time and yours. Your teachers have put many hours and years into training and wish to share this knowledge but  please, do not disrespect the art by showing up once in a blue moon for training, having forgotten all of the techniques the instructor worked so hard to teach you.  We understand many students have work and must travel and miss training from time to time but find a way to practice anyway and come back and be ready for training.
A gym or a social club doesn't care if you show up as long as you pay your dues....but we do.
All people are welcome at Circle of Iron, no matter what your athletic ability, level of fitness, race, gender, nationality or religion.  If you are out of shape or overweight, we will train you and  work hard to get you fit no matter what.  If you are a beginner ,we will teach you.  This is our promise.  The only requirement is that you must be disciplined and truly respect our art.  Train hard and regularly or don't bother with it at all.  We refuse to pollute  and disrespect our art by selling it like bottled Coke so we now only accept serious students.  Thank you for your understanding.

"If you love life, don't waste time, for time is what life is made of."  Bruce Lee
